FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HAMILTON, ON – On December 21 at 7:30pm, the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra presents The Snowman conducted by Music Director Gemma New. This classic winter tale comes to life in the FirstOntario Concert Hall with the beautifully animated film projected as the orchestra performs the stunning score live.

The Academy Award-nominated film tells the heartwarming story of a young boy and a snowman that comes to life. The Snowman, based on the book by Raymond Briggs and scored by Howard Blake, has become a holiday staple since its 1982 release.

We are celebrating the immense talent of Hamilton’s youth with guest artists the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Hamilton Children’s Choir, who will share the stage with the HPO to perform holiday carols and seasonal favourites.
