HAMILTON – The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to share the line-up of Hamilton-based performers joining us for Come Together! HPO Performs the Beatles at FirstOntario Concert Hall on February 11. Some of these performers are also joining HPO at The Westdale theatre on January 27 to give a sneak peek of our upcoming Beatles concert.

Hamilton’s own Darcy Hepner is the conductor and arranger of this concert, which was performed by the HPO in 2017 (A Hamilton Beatles Experience) and again in 2019 (From the Beatles, with Love). The show’s arrangements and concert listing evolve ahead of each time it is performed, and this year’s version brings new orchestral surprises for our audience.

We have incredible Hamilton-based guest artists joining us again, including legendary guitarist Bill Dillon. Juno award-winning singer-songwriter Ian Thomas is back this year, as well as highly accomplished singer-songwriters/musicians Jamie Oakes and Jay Gordon Wright. Thompson Wilson, another successful songwriter and son of Hamiltonian Tom Wilson, will perform in our Beatles concert for the first time! We are also excited to welcome band members Dusty Micale on keyboards, Paul Intson on bass, Steve Heathcote on drums.

On Friday, January 27, we have an exciting event with The Westdale called ‘A Hard Day’s Night with the HPO’. The night starts with a concert of Beatles works, introduced by Darcy Hepner and performed by guitarist Bill Dillon, singers Jamie Oakes and Jay Gordon Wright, and the HPO String Quartet at 7pm. This is followed by a screening of The Beatles’ 1964 musical comedyA Hard Day’s Night at 8pm.
