HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to announce the second annual Happy Hour with the HPO.  This exciting post-work event takes place at The Baltimore House on Tuesday, April 7 at 5:30pm.

Guests are invited to join the HPO at The Baltimore House for a new kind of happy hour.  Designed for the hpoGO crowd, this evening features live music from the baroque, classical and romantic periods, with each piece of music accompanied by a sampling of a custom cocktail designed by The Baltimore House’s bartender Rob Male.

Whether you’re new to classical music or an experienced concertgoer guests are sure to enjoy this casual, interactive post-work event.  The bar opens at 5:30pm with music and cocktail pairings from 6 – 7pm.   Guests are encouraged to stick around after the music and meet the HPO String Quartet.

“Experiencing classical music in new and innovative formats is an important initiative for the HPO.  After the success of last year’s Happy Hour with the HPO Brass Quintet and Hachey the MouthPEACE, we’re pleased to offer this new twist on the tradition of string quartet music, accompanying the experience with interesting cocktail pairings by The Baltimore House,” says Executive Director Carol Kehoe.

A Victorian-gothic themed space inspired by Edgar Allen Poe, The Baltimore House is one of the most diverse venues in the city.  A café, bar, night club and live music venue, by day the space offers specialty coffee and sandwiches at its Sanctuary Café & Tea Room.  By night The Baltimore House offers live music, trivia nights, karaoke and open mic nights, among other events and performances.

Tickets are $20.  Space is limited so purchase before April 2 to avoid disappointment.
