Biography
Vivian Minden plays flute and piccolo in the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and performs as a member of the HPO Woodwind Trio. She is also a member of the Brantford Symphony and freelances in the area. Vivian has a Masters in Music Performance from the University of Toronto. She has performed as part of the Minden-Shaw flute and harp duo, which has recorded a CD of Celtic and classical music, Bach to Ireland. Vivian has toured with the American Wind Symphony and has played in the orchestra for many musicals, operas and ballets. Through the HPO, Vivian presents Introduction to the Flute sessions for grade one students through An Instrument for Every Child and also coaching high school band students. In addition to her musical activities, Vivian is an avid competitive Scrabble player.
