Biography
Being voted “Drummer of the Year” at the 2009 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards is just one of the many highlights of Steve’s 40-year career. In addition to being in demand for his creative versatility in a studio environment, he is often called upon to work in theatre productions. Most recently Steve had the pleasure of working with Sting in the Toronto production of The Last Ship. Other credits include Singing in the Rain, Come from Away, Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia, Billy Elliot, and Grease. Tours with The Tenors, Anne Murray, Colm Wilkinson, Holly Cole, and David Clayton Thomas have taken him all over the world. Steve has also performed with Elton John, Janelle Monae, Chantal Kreviazuk, Manhattan Transfer, Petula Clark, Rich Little, Shirley Bassey, Bob Newhart, Measha Brueggergosman, Colin James, Frank Gorshin, Henry Cuesta, Guido Basso, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
