Biography

 
Paul Intson is both a bassist and Canadian multi-award-winning film and television composer. He regularly plays bass with Ian Thomas, and has filled the bass chair for artists from Tom Wilson to Harrison Kennedy and Jamie Oakes, as well as performing on many Hollywood film scores. Paul began composing for modern dance, media and television in the mid 80’s. In the late 90s, he was recruited as Mychael Danna’s music editor, instrumentalist and additional composer. In 2005 his breakaway work on Skyland earned him the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television’s Gemini Award. He would go on to earn five additional nominations as well as a Genie Award for his work on Norman Jewison’s The Statement. In 2014, he scored The Nut Job, which set a new box office record for both highest grossing Canadian theatrical release and all-time independent animation release.
