About

HPO Composer-in-Residence Abigail Richardson-Schulte leads students through her exciting composition The Hockey Sweater (based on the classic story of the same name by Roch Carrier) as they learn about the creative process of composing music to tell a story. Students learn about the instruments of the orchestra and how their unique sounds can bring characters and nature to life. Each workshop is tailored for the age group of the audience.

The Hockey Sweater is one of the most performed works in Canada, often with author Roch Carrier narrating from the stage.
