The application period for this year's competition is now over and the next stage will begin shortly. If you haven't applied, now is a great time to start planning for next year's competition!
Mozart, Mendelssohn and Korngold were all child prodigies, writing music as early as the age of four! They were also gifted young performers.
This year, the HPO is pleased to introduce the Young Performers' Concerto Competition to find two extraordinary young musicians. The winners will appear in the HPO's school concert "Prodigies" in May 2009 and will also have the opportunity to perform in full concert with the HPO in the 2009-2010 season.
