Musicians in the Schools

TEACHERS...have HPO musicians come to your class!

HPO musicians (1 - 5 players) can provide resource and support to lesson plan.

How does this relate to the music curriculum?

  • Available for Primary, Junior and Intermediate grades, you can expose students to the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Romantic music that they are required to hear as part of the "critical thinking" element of the Ontario music curriculum.
  • Musicians can answer questions about the repertoire or other topics that teachers and students raise. This experience will provide students with the rare opportunity to experience live music by professional musicians.
