Elspeth Thomson

Q: When did you start playing?
A: When I was 10

Q: What made you choose your instrument?
A: My sister played the violin so I chose the next instrument of the string family

Q: What is your most memorable HPO experience?
A: One of my memorable experiences was playing when my sister, Rosemary Thomson was conducting.

Q: What kind of things do you like to do when you’re not playing?
A: I like to do sports and keep active. In the summer I bike and do dragon boat racing and in the winter I like to ski and skate

Q: Who is your favourite composer to play or listen to?
A: I don’t have a favourite composer. I like a variety.

Q: Favourite book? Movie?
A: Same as above.

Q: Do you have a secret indulgence?
A: Chocolate although it is not so secret

Q: Who was your hero when you were 10? Who is your hero now?
A: My Grandmother was my hero when I was 10. I don’t have one now.
