A: At age 12.

A: It was mandatory back then when entering junior high (gr. 7) to play either a band or string instrument in school.
Q: What kind of things do you like to do when you’re not playing?
A: Reading, crossword puzzles, watching British detective videos, working out at the gym.
Q: Who is your favourite composer to play or listen to?
A: Puccini and Prokofiev

A: Too many to have a favourite.
Q: Do you have a secret indulgence?
A: Shopping on Bloor Street in Toronto.
Q: Who was your hero when you were 10? Who is your hero now?
A: When I was 10 it was my mom. Now it is still my mom but also my violin professor, Rodney Friend.
